Behavioral Data Collection and Analytics Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Jamong shows what left an impression, not who viewed you. This policy explains how we handle behavioral data.
1. Purpose of This Policy
Jamong collects behavioral data to help users meet more compatible people and improve their profiles.
The Company follows the principle of collecting data in detail while not disclosing an individual user's behavior directly to another user: collect deeply, disclose carefully.
2. Behavioral Data We Collect
The Company collects the following behavioral data to improve the Service and provide profile insights.
- Profile impressions and active dwell time
- Scroll depth and impressions by section, photo, and prompt
- Conversion flows leading to reactions, matches, and conversations
- Feature usage flows and exposure to UI experiments
Dwell time accumulates only while content is sufficiently visible on screen and the user is actively engaged.
3. Consent Tiers
Data is divided into the following three tiers according to purpose.
- Essential service data: account, profile, match, message, report, and security log data required to provide the Service
- Service improvement data: dwell time, scrolling, clicks, and UI experiment data used to improve service quality
- User insight data: data used for anonymized statistics, profile benchmarking, and personalized recommendations
Except for essential data, users can choose in settings whether data in each tier is collected.
4. Aggregation Safeguards
Statistics provided to users are protected by the following rules to prevent identification of individuals.
- Segments with a sample of fewer than 10 people are not displayed.
- Statistics are delayed by 24 hours by default so they cannot be traced back to an individual's behavior at a specific time.
- Time-of-day information that could be used to infer a specific individual is not provided.
- Values are provided in ranges rather than as precise individual values.
- Sensitive attributes are neither inferred nor provided.
- Repeat views are aggregated separately as unique views and total views.
5. Excluded from Session Replay
The Company may anonymously analyze user flows on certain screens to improve the Service, but the following are excluded from analysis.
- Other users' profiles
- Chat content
- Verification selfies
- Report details
- Payment information entry screens
- The actual content of free-form text fields
6. Information Not Disclosed to Other Users
Even when the Company collects the information below, it does not provide that information to another user.
- How many seconds a particular user viewed your profile
- How many times a particular user returned to your profile
- How far a particular user scrolled
- Whether a particular user considered sending a reaction
- A particular user's login-time patterns
- The content of messages drafted and then deleted
- Inferences about an individual user's emotions or intent
Insights show what left an impression, not who viewed you, and are provided only in anonymized, aggregated form.
7. User Controls and Withdrawal
Users may change their choices regarding personalized recommendations, inclusion in anonymized statistics, collection of profile analytics data, and marketing use at any time under Settings > Data (/settings/data).
Users may request deletion of behavioral analytics records, download all data, or delete their account and all data. When consent is withdrawn, future collection of the relevant data stops.
